Last week we found out Delainey's cancer is back. It is back in her upper arm and in her lungs. We begin chemo treatments tomorrow in Madison. She will receive the treatments approximately every 3 weeks for about 5-6 months. Each time she will need to be admitted into the hospital for 3-4 days.
We always knew this could happen but we were not prepared for the news. We have an amazing group of family and friends and with them and God we will get through this.
We have already received so many messages, texts, phone calls and emails with your prayers and offerings to help out. We are truly blessed! Our good friend Sara Schauf will be coordinating all of that for us, so if you are inclined please contact her at email@example.com I simply cannot keep up with replying to all the generous messages. I know it's a fabulous problem to have. Please know that we realize how blessed we are, we read every single message and we are grateful simply for your prayers.
We had Delainey's hair cut short this weekend as one step closer to the adjustment of her losing it. It was a hard step to take but we know it will be less traumatic this way. She really looks cute! This is the best picture I could get of it. We had family pictures taken that morning, so she was all done with smiling for the camera!
I will try to post on here as often as I can but we did set up a caring bridge site. Please visit caringbridge.org/visit/delaineyhayden for the most up to date posts. Because of her age we did put a password on the account, please message me for that if you are interested.
Thank you again for everything and please keep a little girl in your prayers.
