Dollhouse for D

Today was a magical day at our house. A wonderful friend of mine from high school made Delainey her very own dollhouse. This is handcrafted by Ginny from Ginny's Dollhouses! Another friend from high school, Stacy, also sent along a bunch of dollhouse furniture to fill it up with. THANK YOU to these wonderful ladies and their families for all they have done for our little girl.
She had a blast with it today and will most likely enjoy this for many years and hopefully her daughter(s) will enjoy it someday as well. We have certainly been reminded many times over how much we are blessed. This is one of those times. I am very glad to know there are a lot of selfless people in the world, and we happen to know quite a few of them!

FYI: Calleigh and Delainey were playing doctor right before Ginny delivered this, so they and their baby dolls were both wrapped up with broken arms and legs :)

December 17th, 2012

Just a quick little update on our little one. She is doing fantastic. She did great in OT last week. She has great range of motion in her shoulder and her elbow. So that is good. We have been "trying" to put Vitamin E oil on her scar, although she seems to do better at this when Adam is assisting.

She is wearing her compression sock or "sockie" as she likes to call it. She is comforted by it, so that is good. It is certainy helping with the swelling. By the time her Jan 7th appointment rolls around for her prosthetic she should be all set.

Last night she took "sockie" off and wanted me to kiss her owie, so I did. Then she kissed it, smiled and ran away. She is amazing.

We are blessed to have a happy and healthy family this Christmas and are holding them all close,  especially after Friday's tragic event in Connecticut. God Bless those little angels, those brave heroes and their families who are still here with an emptiness inside their hearts.

Delainey fell asleep in the pile of "cozies" from the dryer.

Max helping Delainey navigate the snow/ice. She loves being outside. By the end of this time outside they were all covered in mud /dirt and soaking wet. Our yard is now brown again, all the rain yesterday melted all we had! Which is really fine by me, I am not a winter person.
